Creating Social Entrepreneurs in Schools

RISEGO is partnering with schools to create economically independent young people that are engaged and contributing to the improvement of their schools through social entrepreneurship (Creating Entrepreneurs in Schools).

RISEGO develops young Social Entrepreneurs in Schools by:

  • Teaching Social Entrepreneurship through “The Journey” curriculum
  • Helping youth launch and sustain successful business or social ventures

Our in school model, designed to target students in grades 9 – 12, will create young Social Entrepreneurs by integrating concepts into the classroom, creating year round learning experiences and profit making activities, utilizing real projects that benefit the school community and leveraging several partnerships. Additionally, the entrepreneurial concepts will generate resources to sustain school projects and provide core job skills for students.

Why is our curriculum and model approach unique?

The course curriculum “The Journey” and classroom approach is designed to integrate Social Entrepreneurship in project based learning environments that can be easily replicated in other educational settings. The Journey can be used as part of a core course, special project, honor’s program, after school activity or college credited class.

Integrated Learning – Social Entrepreneurship in Schools

Our curriculum incorporates a balance of instructional lecture; project based learning and modeling designed to engage students with varying learning styles. The unique projects and activities are designed to improve the quality of education, student leadership and the culture of the school community, resulting in a learning community.
