Get Involved

How You Can Help

RISEGO’s mission is accomplished through a host of committed volunteers and resources. There are three primary ways to get involved...

  1. Serve as a Volunteer
  2. Become a Business Mentor to Youth Entrepreneurs
  3. Provide Classroom and Training Resources

Serve as a Volunteer

Youth and adult volunteers “Get Involved” by providing their skills and talents to support the ongoing operations and projects sponsored by Risego. There are a host of ongoing support roles volunteers can play with Risego. Your expertise can be used to help in the areas outlined below:

  • Marketing and Promotion
  • Facilities Management
  • Administrative Functions

The development of our Social Entrepreneurship Center model requires the assistance of volunteers that provide the skill, man-power and support to transform buildings into state-of-art Social Entrepreneurship Centers. The projects are also great community service projects for high school, college students and youth groups.

“The Arnett” is Risego’s first community-based Social Entrepreneurship Center. The Arnett is dedicated to training youth to create businesses that build community. The prototype was developed largely through volunteers; many of them were youth that devoted their weekends and school breaks to help complete the center.

Become a Business Mentor to Youth Entrepreneurs

Business Mentors are needed to provide guidance and support to Youth Social Entrepreneurs. The mentors are needed to assist youth ventures in schools or communities; young Social Entrepreneurs can benefit from the knowledge and skills possessed by seasoned entrepreneurs.

Provide Classroom and Training Resources

You can “Get Involved” by providing resources to support the development of Social Entrepreneurship Centers or training classrooms. The development of Social Entrepreneurship Centers allows us to train and provide marketplaces to house youth ventures. The centers include dedicated classroom space to conduct training sessions. Within our center model, actual adult businesses lease space and provide mentoring opportunities for youth that express an interest in a business field or area of expertise.

The development of our Social Entrepreneurship Centers often requires Building Materials, so keep us in mind when looking for ways to donate resources that can be put to great use.
