RISEGO is supported largely through program service fees that focus on Youth Entrepreneurship. Program fees are charged for RISEGO-sponsored trainings and instructional materials.
Risego’s proven training model is designed to equip Social Entrepreneurs with the education, experiences and support to help them be successful. Risego solciited the help of the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship to develope a comprehensive curriculum entitled “The Journey” and a process that walks youth through the steps that ultimately lead to their success.
The Journey is designed to provide youth, as early as the 9th grade with a series of educational experiences and support that will better prepare them for college, life, the highly competitive workforce or self-employment (owning your own business). The ultimate goal is to create learning environments in schools and communities that develop the skills and talents of youth. Social Entrepreneurship also prepares students to address business or social needs in almost any setting.
The Creating Young Entrepreneurs in Schools component will be piloted in schools in the Fall, 2010. The Creating Young Entrepreneurs in Communities currently operates out of the Social Entrepreneurship Center located at 332-338 Arnett Blvd., Rochester, NY 14619. The goal is to expand the model in other communities that desire to utilize our innovative approach.
